Community Leadership in General Aviation

Much of Joseph's community work happens on an airport. A cooperative flying club is, by design, a community: members share aircraft, knowledge, and responsibility, and experienced pilots mentor newer ones. The businesses around it, maintenance, avionics, paint, and ferry operations, sustain skilled jobs and keep a small airport vital.

Joseph sees general aviation airports as civic infrastructure worth protecting. They train the next generation of pilots and technicians, support emergency and agricultural flying, and anchor local economies in ways that are easy to overlook until an airport closes.
